Purpose
The rules for accessing and using Lokolly's United States local-services marketplace.
Scope
This policy applies to Lokolly accounts, visitors, customers, providers, administrators, profiles, search and discovery, quote requests, request-scoped messages, reviews, reports, portfolio media, Stories, eligible promotions, support interactions, and any future feature expressly made subject to it.
Definitions
“Lokolly,” “we,” and “us” mean the operator of the Lokolly marketplace. “User” includes any visitor or account holder. “Customer” means a person seeking a service. “Provider” means an independent person or business offering a service. “Content” includes text, profile data, messages, reviews, photos, Stories, video, reports, and promotion material.
- “Published provider” means a profile that satisfies current account, onboarding, moderation, and public-visibility requirements.
- “Marketplace interaction” means activity through Lokolly; it does not itself prove a service contract, payment, booking, job completion, qualification, or endorsement.
Responsibilities
Everyone using Lokolly shares responsibility for lawful, accurate, respectful, privacy-conscious, and safe marketplace participation. Responsibility for an underlying service remains with the customer and independent provider who arrange it.
User obligations
Users must provide accurate information, protect account access, respect others’ rights and privacy, comply with law and published policies, use reporting tools in good faith, and independently evaluate service decisions. Users must not evade controls, manipulate marketplace signals, or submit unlawful, deceptive, harmful, or unauthorized content.
Provider obligations
When acting as a provider, a user must accurately describe identity, services, areas, credentials, pricing, availability, contact choices, media, and promotions; maintain legally required licenses, permits, insurance, taxes, and safety practices; protect customer information; and perform any accepted work under a direct agreement with the customer.
Lokolly responsibilities
Lokolly will operate the marketplace according to documented access, visibility, moderation, privacy, security, and audit controls; label samples and paid placement; protect nonpublic data using proportionate safeguards; provide reporting and review channels; and communicate material policy changes. These responsibilities do not make Lokolly the employer, contractor, booking agent, escrow, insurer, guarantor, or warranty provider for services.
Marketplace role
Lokolly LLC operates a marketplace platform connecting customers with independent local service providers. Lokolly provides discovery, profiles, search, provider-specific quote conversations, reviews, and clearly labeled promotion tools. Providers independently offer services and customers independently decide whom to contact or hire. Providers are independent third parties and remain responsible for their own services, qualifications, licensing, insurance, pricing, representations, safety, and legal compliance, except to the extent Lokolly expressly assumes a responsibility in these Terms.
- Lokolly is not an employer, contractor, staffing company, booking agency, payment escrow, insurer, or warranty provider. Providers are not employees of Lokolly merely because they use the platform. A quote acceptance records marketplace intent; it does not prove that work, payment, licensing, insurance, or a service contract exists.
Accounts and eligibility
Users must provide accurate information, safeguard credentials, and be at least 18 years old to create an account. Account access may be limited while identity, safety, fraud, or policy concerns are reviewed.
Direct service relationships
Customers and providers are solely responsible for scope, price, scheduling, qualifications, licensing, insurance, permits, taxes, representations, safety, performance, cancellation, and payment arrangements. Future booking or customer-payment tools will require separate terms before activation.
Disclaimers and liability
The marketplace is provided on an "as available" basis to the extent permitted by law. Lokolly does not guarantee provider identity, qualifications, availability, work quality, leads, rankings, uninterrupted operation, or outcomes. Lokolly is not responsible for provider performance, provider-customer disputes, inaccurate user/provider content, off-platform transactions, conduct of independent providers/users, or circumstances outside Lokolly's reasonable control.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lokolly will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or relating to the marketplace or these Terms, even if advised that such damages were possible. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lokolly's aggregate liability for all claims arising from or relating to the marketplace or these Terms will not exceed the greater of the amounts the claimant paid directly to Lokolly during the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim or $100.
These exclusions and limits do not apply to liabilities, remedies, or rights that applicable law does not permit the parties to waive, exclude, or limit.
Indemnification
To the extent permitted by applicable law, a user or provider will indemnify, defend, and hold Lokolly harmless from third-party claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and reasonable legal costs arising from that user's or provider's services, conduct, content, representations, violation of law, infringement or misappropriation of intellectual-property or other rights, or violation of these Terms. This obligation does not transfer to a user or provider any liability that applicable law prohibits Lokolly from transferring.
Lokolly will provide reasonable notice of a covered claim when practicable and reasonable cooperation at the indemnifying party's expense. The indemnifying party may control the defense with qualified counsel, subject to Lokolly's right to participate, and may not settle a claim in a way that admits fault by or imposes non-monetary obligations on Lokolly without Lokolly's reasonable written consent.
Limitations
Lokolly cannot guarantee provider identity, qualifications, availability, pricing, legality, safety, conduct, service quality, customer conduct, lead volume, uninterrupted operation, or dispute outcomes. Verification and moderation are risk-reduction measures, not endorsements or warranties. Lokolly does not process customer payments for provider services. Provider promotion purchases may be processed by Lokolly when the feature is enabled and configured. Future features are governed only after explicit activation and updated terms when required.
Reporting process
Use the relevant in-product report control, private Support, or Contact Legal. Include the affected account or content, category, concise facts, relevant dates, and safe supporting information. Do not submit passwords, security tokens, full payment-card numbers, unrelated personal data, or unlawful material.
- Reports are reviewed under documented authorization and audit controls.
- A report does not guarantee removal, restoration, refund, suspension, or a specific response time.
- Knowingly false, retaliatory, abusive, or duplicative reports may be restricted.
Contact information
Signed-in users may use private Support. Legal, privacy, copyright, accessibility, and governmental request instructions are available through Contact Legal. A verified legal postal address and dedicated legal email are not currently published; final contact details require operational and attorney review.
Policy updates
Lokolly may revise this policy for legal, safety, product, operational, or technical changes. Each revision will carry a version and updated date. Material changes will receive notice appropriate to their impact, and renewed acceptance will be requested when required. Historical versions are retained in the policy register.
